Job Description Job Description Job Title: Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) Location: New York, NY 10016 Employment Type: Contract (W2) Pay Rate: $57–$58 per hour Schedule Shift Structure: 4 × 10-hour shifts (rotating schedule, including weekends) Possible Shift Times: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM Position Overview A healthcare organization in New York City is seeking a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) to support a Child Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP) . This role focuses on providing psychosocial assessment, crisis intervention, and care coordination for children and adolescents in an acute hospital-based setting. The ideal candidate will have prior hospital experience and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, rotating-shift environment. Key Responsibilities Conduct psychosocial assessments for pediatric and adolescent patients Provide crisis intervention and short-term counseling services Collaborate with interdisciplinary clinical teams to support treatment planning Coordinate care, referrals, and discharge planning as appropriate Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards Support patients and families during psychiatric emergencies Adhere to all institutional policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements Required Education Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program Required Skills & Experience Minimum 1 year of experience as a Licensed Master Social Worker Experience working with children and adolescents required Hospital-based experience strongly preferred Ability to work rotating schedules, including weekends Required Certifications & Licensure Active Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) license issued by NYSED Primary Source Verification of licensure required Additional Notes Assignment supports a Child CPEP program Fast-paced, acute clinical environment Strong communication, assessment, and crisis management skills required For more details reach at vgill@navitassols.com or Call / Text at 516-862-1203 .
