Advocacy News.YOUR CONTRIBUTION TO OUR SUCCESS!A Eligibility Specialist contributes to AHF by conducting proactive outreach to clients, providing benefits counseling and advocacy services, and assisting with enrollment in the Ryan White eligibility program. With an understanding of the Ryan White Program and benefits services, you will work directly within the Healthcare Center to enroll newly diagnosed patients, patients lost to care, and clients currently in care by completing screening eligibility assessments. In this way, you will support clients in maintaining or improving their health status to achieve their healthcare goals.A Eligibility Specialist enhances AHF's reputation by making all necessary efforts to ensure clients are appropriately screened for Ryan White Eligibility and other pertinent third-party benefits programs. You will meet clients where they are, identify strengths and opportunities for growth, and assist with realistic goal setting. Your collaboration and engagement skills will help bring the essence of the Ryan White Care Act-the safety net for uninsured HIV/AIDS patients-to our most vulnerable population. Your assessments directly contribute to meeting the deliverables of our Ryan White contract and support measures established by the HIV/AIDS Bureau (HAB) and the Department of Health and Human Services.You will be a passionate advocate for our top initiatives.To succeed as an Eligibility Specialist, it is crucial to keep the AHF core values and mission top of mind. At AHF, we are nimble and adaptable in a dynamic environment, aiming to provide the best experience for our clients and workplace for our employees.Our organization fosters a collaborative structure where staff are accountable to multiple leaders.The Eligibility Specialist will work as part of a close-knit team to collaborate with the Care Management team and Healthcare Center staff to communicate, discuss, and plan responses to client service needs, challenges, and barriers.
