GXO Logistics, a leader in providing sophisticated supply chain solutions, is seeking a dedicated CDL Driver to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient transport of goods while maintaining high standards of safety and customer satisfaction. Utilize cutting-edge technology to navigate routes, communicate with the supply chain team, and optimize delivery times. This position requires compliance with all safety and regulatory guidelines set forth by the department of transportation and our company policies. Safely operate a tractor-trailer/truck to deliver goods to customers Load and unload cargo while ensuring secure handling to prevent damage Maintain logs of working hours and of vehicle service and repair status, adhering to state and federal regulations Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance Plan routes using GPS technology to ensure timely deliveries Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures Communicate effectively with dispatch and management to report any issues or delays Collect and verify delivery instructions, reporting discrepancies between cargo and its documentation Proficiency in operating a commercial vehicle Ability to use GPS and other routing systems Knowledge of truck maintenance and repair Excellent time management to meet delivery schedules Strong communication skills for coordination with the logistics team Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Clean driving record Must pass DOT physical and drug test
