be considered. An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse
with specialized experience in cardiac operating room procedures.
This position involves providing skilled perioperative nursing care
to a diverse patient population ranging from neonates to older
adults, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and care
coordination. Primary Responsibilities: - Deliver direct and
indirect patient care in the perioperative environment by
assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing
interventions. - Collaborate closely with surgeons,
anesthesiologists, and OR team members to coordinate seamless
patient care before, during, and after surgery. - Oversee and
support OR Technicians and other staff to maintain professional
nursing standards. - Participate actively in performance
improvement initiatives, unit meetings, and educational
in-services. - Adhere strictly to applicable regulations,
standards, and hospital policies. - Responsibly manage on-call
duties, responding promptly to urgent needs within a 30-minute
timeframe. Qualifications: - Current and valid Registered Nurse
license for the state. - Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
required at hire and maintained. - Advanced Cardiovascular Life
Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
certifications required within 30 days of hiring and kept current.
- At least one year of perioperative nursing experience or
equivalent on-the-job training. - Cardiac experience in the
operating room is essential. - Certified Nurse Operating Room
(CNOR) certification preferred. - Bachelor of Science in Nursing
(BSN) degree preferred. - Experience with both preoperative and
postoperative nursing care. Schedule: - 8-hour shifts, Monday
through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. - Mandatory on-call
rotation including weekday overnight and weekend coverage as
specified. Location:This role is based in Paterson, NJ, a vibrant
