Job Description:
A private medical practice is seeking a full-time Physiatrist
for their outpatient locations in Bronx, NY About the Opportunity:
Schedule: Monday-Friday Hours: 9am to 5pm Setting: 100% Outpatient
Responsibilities: Examining patients that may need to undergo
physical therapy Diagnosing pain as a result of an injury, disease,
or a disabling condition Determining and implementing appropriate
treatment plans for patients Recommending and performing various
medical procedures, such as trigger point injections, soft tissue,
and joint injections to treat pain and improve physical functioning
Leading a team of medical professionals, including physical
therapists, in order to optimize patient care Monitoring ongoing
progress and health of patients, and changing treatment plans, as
necessary Counseling patients and their families and helping them
adapt to lifestyle changes Performing initial evaluations to
determine a patient's need and ability to participate in the
rehabilitation process Conducting periodic re-evaluations of
patients to determine progress and for change or discontinuance of
treatment Qualifications: MD/DO degree Active New York Medical
License Board Certified/Eligible with American Board of Physical
Medicine & Rehabilitation (ABPMR)
