Job Overview: As a CNC Mill Operator or CNC Lathe Operator at Salem Manufacturing, you will play a crucial role in our production process. Your expertise in setting up and operating CNC mills or lathes will contribute to the production of precision parts that meet our stringent quality standards. Join us in a fast-paced machine shop environment where teamwork and attention to detail are highly valued. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Set up and operate CNC Mill or Lathe machines. Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting processes. Take precise measurements, detect malfunctions, and troubleshoot as needed. Adhere to quality assurance procedures and processes to ensure top-notch output. Ensure a safe and professional work environment. Maintain cleanliness and organization in your work area. Exhibit excellent attendance and punctuality. Qualifications: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in setting up and operating CNC Mill or Lathe machines. Proficiency in reading blueprints/drawings and inspecting parts. Experience with G and M codes, including programming, instructions, tool registers, and offsets. Strong mathematical skills, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry. Ability to prove part programs to ensure accuracy. Capacity to work collaboratively with team members in a fast-paced machine shop setting. Ability to lift, push, and/or pull up to 50 lbs. Requirements: Successful completion of a felony background check. Ability to pass a hair follicle drug test.
