Facilities Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Greater Fort Washington, PA area
Shift: 7:30 AM-4PM with rotating on-call shift - part of a team
that takes the on-call shifts
Temp to Hire Pay: $36 - 40 /hour depending upon experience,
flexibility for the right experience.
We are seeking a Facilities Mechanic who has experience working in
highly regulated environments, particularly pharmaceutical and
research facilities. We need someone who is skilled in equipment
installation and repair, preventive maintenance, and facility
upgrades.
Skills: Facilities Mechanic with experience in pharmaceutical and /
or research settings
Experience installing and maintaining facility systems including
HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler systems, cold storage,
environmental /temperature control systems and laboratory equipment
desired.
Familiar with OSHA, cGMP, and SOP compliance
Proficient with SAP, Building Management Systems (BMS), CMMS
(Computerized Maintenance Management System) and Microsoft
Office
High School Diploma required.
Associate's degree or additional trade certifications a plus.
Licenses, Certifications Desired: Certified HVAC Mechanic
Certified Universal Refrigerant Mechanic
Licensed Black Seal High-Pressure Boiler Operator
Responsibilities: Operate and maintain high-pressure and hot water
boiler systems, as well as large-capacity chiller units.
Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs for each piece
of equipment and facility layout.
Perform daily hands-on maintenance, work as a team to troubleshoot
issues for and calibration, certifications, and HVAC servicing.
Monitor environmental parameters including temperature, humidity,
and static pressure for cleanroom and production areas.
Author and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure
regulatory and operational compliance.
Install and maintain facility systems including electrical,
plumbing, cold storage, and laboratory equipment.

CMMS stands for Computerized Maintenance Management System: It's a
software platform used to Schedule and track preventive maintenance
- Manage work orders - Log equipment history - Monitor inventory
and spare parts - Ensure regulatory compliance (especially in
industries like pharmaceuticals).
BMS stands for Building Management System (also known as Building
Automation System, or BAS). A BMS is a computer-based control
system installed in buildings that manages and monitors mechanical
and electrical equipment such as HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and
Air Conditioning), Lighting, Power systems, Fire systems, Security
systems
