Job Title: Education Specialist of Periop Central Sterile Processing
The Education Specialist will create, maintain, and administer Sterile Processing Competencies, ensuring that CSP technicians at Montefiore are professionally trained and operate within industry standards and regulations, including HSPA, AORN, the Joint Commission, FDA, CDC, OSHA, AAMI, and infection control.
This role aligns with the vision, mission, values, and performance measures of Montefiore Medical Center.
Responsibilities include participating in performance improvement activities, maintaining professional standards, demonstrating leadership, and managing educational services across campuses. The position requires travel to various sites and involves overseeing the onboarding process for clinical associates and leaders in the SPD department.
The role has cross-campus authority and accountability for organizing and managing educational programs, acting as a liaison and consultant to other hospital departments.
Schedule
8 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday
Qualifications

• 
  
• Associate degree in a related field
  
• Minimum of 3 years of SPD experience
  
• Minimum of 3 years management experience
  
• Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) and Certified Healthcare Leader (CHL)
  
• Excellent communication skills
  
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
