Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking an Intake, Support, and Training Specialist – OEE for the Office of Employment Equity (“OEE”). This position reports to the Associate Director of the Office of Employment Equity (“OEE”). Responsibilities include working with the university to meet Title IX requirements and deliver trauma informed intake, support, and training services to students, employees, and third parties Among the key duties of the position are the following: Intake Services Conducts case intake meetings for investigations and accommodations with empathy and professionalism. Provides employees with information about OEE’s policies and procedures and assists with complaint and accommodation forms. Obtains and evaluates case details to ensure appropriate delegation of investigations, accommodations, and referrals. Offers and coordinates individualized supportive and interim measures. Ensures that all case intake meetings are tracked and summarized in a case management system. Answers office phone, responds to office emails, and ensures that individuals are routed to the correct individuals and resources. Presents a positive, professional image of OEE and UHR in all interactions with students, employees, and third parties. Support Services Coordinates support services and interim measures for students, faculty, and staff for Title IX and other OEE cases. Liases with student and faculty/staff support offices, Title IX Coordinators, and department leadership to determine appropriate supportive measures related to reports and resolutions. Handles support services, including modification of work or class schedules, change in work or housing location, referrals to counseling and/or tutoring services, working with faculty/supervisors on potential deadline extensions, and coordinating security measures. Communicates regularly with the OEE investigations team to review the status of support/interim measures. Provides regular reporting and analysis for developing and implementing action plans to address deficiencies in support services for students and faculty/staff related to Title IX and other OEE cases. Training Assesses University-wide training needs through surveys, interviews with employees, and consultations with managers. Designs, creates, and updates training materials. Coordinates, schedules, and conducts training for students, faculty, staff, and other university stakeholders related to investigations, accommodations, prevention, and related topics. Delivers training to employees in person and virtually using a variety of instructional techniques. Addresses deficiencies in training access, awareness, content, and platforms. Collaborates with leadership in all departments within the University (including academic departments) to ensure that they are aware of OEE training opportunities. Develops and implements a training program for new employee orientation as well as a mechanism for departments to request OEE training. Partners with student and employee support offices, Title IX Coordinators, and other stakeholders to develop and deliver prevention training. Serves on committees related to discrimination, harassment, and sexual misconduct prevention, as well as campus safety. Manages the day-to-day operation of the University’s Unlawful Harassment Prevention program for faculty and staff, which includes Title IX for Higher Education. Responds to training inquiries and provides technical support in collaboration with the vendor. Identifies and coordinates training opportunities for OEE staff. Other Handles special project management and implementation, and other functions as assigned. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in human resources, education, social work ( MSW ), or a related field. Experience in higher education policies and procedures.
